The Area

Milford has been called 1 of 10 “coolest small towns in Pennsylvania” by Budget Travel Magazine. It is also considered one the most beautiful towns in the Poconos…and we would agree!

The River Rock Inn is located just two blocks from the picturesque Delaware River and the Milford Beach boat launch and sand beach. Milford provides leisure for all seasons- there is access to several ski resorts only a few short miles outside of town. There are several mountain peaks with observatories to enjoy the leaves as they turn glorious colors in autumn along with eagle watching. Milford also has an abundance of spectacular waterfalls. Spring is a great time to hike through our parks and witness the rebirth of the wildlife surrounding the majestic waterfalls.

Historic Destinations

Milford is great place to visit to get a taste of America’s past. It is full of history and many of its historic buildings have been carefully restored by talented local craftspeople and national restoration teams. There are 655 buildings in Milford’s historic district, 400 have been officially declared “historically significant.” For the true history buff, the Columns Museum houses the flag that cushioned President Lincoln’s head after his assassination.

Events & Festivals

For the “Green Traveler”, Milford is the Birthplace of the American conservation movement at the Grey Towers National Historic Landmark.
